BISHOP GAINER APPOINTS FATHER BRAWNER AS PASTOR OF ST. CLARE

Father Brawner to accept his new appointment on July 1, and attend the annual July 4th Bar-B-Q, waterfight, and fireworks on the grounds of the church beginning around 4:30pm.   He will celebrate his first weekend mass as Pastor at the 7pm service at St. Clare.  He will review the fireworks after Mass. 

Father Brawner was ordained in May of 2005 and serve as the parochial vicar of the Cathedral of Christ the King unitl September of 2008.  He serves as Pastor of Prince of Peace in West Liberty unitl the end of June, when he will assume the role of Pastor of St. Clare, Berea, Our Lady of Mount Vernon, Rockcastle, and St. Paul, in McKee, Jackson County.

All are invited to share in this first of welcoming celebrations.

St. Clare Catholic Church is the local church of the Catholic Diocese of Lexington serving the South Madison County.  The parish was established in 1951 by Monsignor Ralph Beiting, and named for Clare Luce Booth, whose contribution made the purchase of the land possible.

In 2002, the parish dedicated its new church, whose picture you see above.

Recently the parish office has been relocated to make ready the deconstruction of the TAN house.
